“I use a warm, nonjudgmental approach to help my clients better understand their patterns of feeling, thinking, and behaving. My counseling is based upon the belief that you are capable of enhancing your quality of life. We will work on setting goals, learning and practicing skills, and improving your coping and communication abilities. Some of the concerns I treat include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, adjustment disorders, behavioral / conduct, couples / marriage / family therapy, OCD, fears / phobias, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, grief / bereavement, and issues related to alcohol / drug use.
Counseling sessions combine a supportive, welcoming approach with research-based techniques to best understand and treat your unique concerns. Topics may include improving self-esteem, coping skills, communication, relationships, anger management, family conflict, mourning / loss, stress, LGBTQIA+, academic / work issues.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused techniques, and Behavior Modification, and work with adults, teens, children, couples, and families.
